Estuary scenes

Estuaries lie at the boundary between rivers and the coast, and are the part of a river which is tidally influenced. In some estuaries, huge numbers of wading birds feed on the mudflats during winter, and there are many other photographic opportunities arising from the rise and fall of the tides.
